Cheshire schools delayed two hours due to transformer fire, power outage – NBC Connecticut

A large power outage has led to a 2-hour delay for all Cheshire Public Schools on Thursday.

The outage was caused by a transformer fire near Cheshire High School, according to school superintendent Dr. Jeff Solan.

There are also several roads closed in the area, due to the fire.

St. Bridget School in Cheshire is also on a 2-hour delay.
